A relaxed, informal gathering where you can try on carriers from the sling library, get personalised advice, chat with other parents, and learn from 18 years of expertise — completely free.

Get hands-on with stretchy wraps, woven wraps, ring slings, SSCs and more — find what works for you.

Ask anything — safe positioning, feeding in a carrier, back carries, toddler wearing. Nothing is a silly question.

Before you come along

Do I need to bring my own carrier?

Not at all — bring one if you have it and want it checked, or come with nothing and try carriers from the sling library instead.

I'm still pregnant — can I come along?

Absolutely. Plenty of expectant parents come along to ask questions, get a feel for different carriers, and plan ahead using a doll or teddy to practise with.

Can partners, grandparents, or toddlers come too?

Everyone is welcome — babywearing isn't just for one parent, and older siblings are always fine to bring along.

What if the date or venue changes?

Any changes are always posted on the Babywearing NI Facebook page the week before — worth a quick check before you set off.
