How to Hire

Hiring a baby carrier or sling from Babywearing NI is really easy.

  1. Choose the type of sling you’d like to hire and the length of time you’d like to hire it for (either 2 or 4 weeks) and add it to your basket.
  2. You’ll pay an upfront deposit (the amount varies depending upon the value of the carrier you’re hiring) along with the cost of the hire – £15 for 2 weeks or £20 for 4 weeks. You will also pay £8.95 upfront postage to cover outward postage with Royal Mail Tracked 24, and a Royal Mail Tracked Returns label.
  3. The sling will be dispatched to you by Royal Mail Tracked 24 and should be with you the following day.
  4. Your parcel will include your chosen sling and a ‘Hire Pack’ comprising a BWNI tote bag, instruction booklet, babywearing safety leaflet, 4th Trimester Carrying advice (where applicable) plus any other accessories for your sling.
  5. The hire pack will also include a Royal Mail Tracked Returns label which can be used to return everything safely to us.

Here is an example of how a typical 2 week hire would work:

Day 1 Of Your Hire – this is the day your sling is posted to you.

Day 14 is the last day the sling should be posted back to us.

For a 4 week hire:

Day 1 Of Your Hire – this is the day your sling is posted to you.

Day 28 is the last day the sling should be posted back to us.
